About Me

Hi, I am Lori-Ann

A woman with curly reddish-brown hair and glasses, smiling, wearing a white collared shirt and black sweater, sitting at a desk in front of a bright window.

I’m really glad you’re here.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker, a behavioral health researcher, a veteran, and a neurodiverse woman who knows what it feels like to carry too much for too long.

I created Silent Morning as a space where you don’t have to perform wellness.
Where you don’t have to be “on.”
Where your needs finally get to come first.

Over the past 20+ years, I’ve worked with individuals in high-stress, high-responsibility roles, healthcare professionals, veterans, caregivers, and first responders who have spent so much of their lives showing up for others that they’ve forgotten how to show up for themselves.

Therapy with me isn’t about fixing what’s wrong with you.
It’s about helping you meet yourself again, honestly, compassionately, and without shame.

My Approach

I’m direct, conversational, and not here to sugarcoat.
I see patterns, I reflect them, and together we untangle what’s been driving your disconnection, anxiety, or burnout.

I use evidence-based approaches like:

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

  • Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy

  • Mindfulness based techniques

… but I always tailor our work to you. That might mean exploring your relationship with your body, processing trauma through the lens of your values and shadow parts, or helping you name the needs you’ve been ignoring.

We’ll hold space for nuance and complexity and we’ll keep it real, every step of the way.
